Please note that Towa does not operate as a conventional retail establishment. Outside the periods of our special exhibitions, the gallery operates on a limited and flexible schedule in accordance with the lifestyle of its 85-year-old proprietor. 「人間国宝 秘蔵コレクション特別頒布会【第二章】― 匠の極み、四季巡行　秋麗 ―」
この秋麗では、当代が蒐集した人間国宝をはじめとする名工の抹茶茶碗を用い、期間中ご来場のお客様に呈茶をご用意いたします。

The Pinnacle of Craftsmanship: A Journey Through the Four Seasons — Autumn Elegance
For this Autumn Elegance chapter, guests will be invited to enjoy a traditional serving of matcha during their visit, presented in tea bowls from the current custodian’s collection. These include works by Living National Treasures as well as other distinguished masters of Japanese ceramic art. Through this experience, visitors will have the opportunity not only to appreciate exceptional works of art, but also to engage with the refined aesthetic sensibilities and cultural traditions that have been cultivated and passed down through generations in Japan.

近代日本において「感動」という体験をかたちにした先駆者たち（山口伊太郎氏、皆川月華氏、龍村平蔵氏ほか）に焦点を当てた特別展を開催いたします。

We are pleased to present a special exhibition focusing on the pioneers who transformed the experience of wonder into a tangible cultural expression in modern Japan, including Itarō Yamaguchi, Gekkā Minagawa, Heizaburō Tatsumura, and other visionary innovators.Through their mastery of colour, design, craftsmanship, and artistic vision, these creators redefined the cultural experience of the kimono, elevating it beyond attire into a source of emotional resonance and aesthetic inspiration.This exhibition offers a rare opportunity to explore the enduring legacy of these remarkable figures and to experience the spirit of innovation that continues to shape Japanese artistic culture today.

 
先代より受け継いだ蒐集品を礎に、当代となって初めての特別頒布会を、2026年5月16日から5月24日まで店舗「呉服の藤和」で開催いたしました。
本展は、
「人間国宝 秘蔵コレクション特別頒布会【第一章】― 匠の極み、四季巡行 ―」
と題し、日本の染織文化を代表する人間国宝・重要作家の作品をご紹介する機会として企画いたしました。
第一章では、型絵染の巨匠・芹沢銈介氏、琉球紅型の第一人者・玉那覇有公氏、創作織の世界を切り拓いた佐々木苑子氏、友禅の名匠・森口華弘氏、そして羅・経錦の技を現代に伝えた北村武資氏の作品を中心にご覧いただきました。

Private Collection Showcase — Chapter I
The Pinnacle of Craftsmanship: A Journey Through the Four Seasons
Drawing upon a collection inherited from the previous generation, we were honoured to present the first special showcase under the stewardship of the current generation from 16 to 24 May 2026.
This inaugural exhibition, entitled “Masterpieces by Japan’s Living National Treasures – Private Collection Showcase, Chapter I: The Pinnacle of Craftsmanship: A Journey Through the Four Seasons”, celebrated some of the most distinguished achievements in Japanese textile art and craftsmanship.
Featured works included those by Keisuke Serizawa, the renowned master of katazome stencil dyeing; Yūkō Tamanaha, a leading figure in the preservation and development of Ryukyuan Bingata; Sonoko Sasaki, celebrated for her pioneering contributions to contemporary textile expression; Kakō Moriguchi, one of the foremost masters of Yuzen dyeing; and Takeshi Kitamura, whose extraordinary mastery of ra and tate-nishiki weaving has expanded the artistic possibilities of Japanese textiles.

アートアクアリウム美術館 GINZA（銀座三越内）にて開催中の「夏のアートアクアリウム2025」にて、「The KIMONO Collection」とのコラボレーション展示がスタートいたしました。会場では、“日本の美”を彩る空間演出の一環として、私たちがホテルやレストラン等への貸出用にご用意している帯コレクションが展示されています。
なお、実際に販売している「The KIMONO Collection」の商品は、すべて新品・未使用の厳選された作品となっており、展示品とは異なる特別な一点物をご提供しております。

We are pleased to announce the start of a special collaboration between The KIMONO Collection and the Art Aquarium Museum GINZA, located within Ginza Mitsukoshi, as part of the “Summer Art Aquarium 2025” exhibition.　As part of the exhibition's immersive design that celebrates the beauty of Japan, a selection of The KIMONO Collection's obi (kimono sashes), originally prepared for lending to luxury hotels and restaurants, are currently on display.　Please note that the items exhibited are separate from our retail collection.
The KIMONO Collection are brand-new, unused works—each piece carefully selected for its artistry, craftsmanship, and cultural value.　We invite you to experience the elegance of wearing art.
